Job Description
- Facility: St. Francis Hospital
- Department: Operating Room
- Schedule: Days | Full-time
How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for procedures.
- Perform scrub duties, including the selection and handling of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Assist the operating physician directly with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Execute circulating functions by monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition, while managing overall nursing care throughout the procedure.
What minimum qualifications you’ll need
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or Multi-State Compact obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Additional certifications may be required for
specific job locations.
Education:
- Graduate of a board-approved Registered Nurse Program required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Work Experience:
- RN with approximately 18 months or less of experience.
- Ability to manage complex workload required.
Additional Preferences:
- 40 hours a week | M-F (8 hour shifts). Call hours, in addition to worked hours. Call hours expectations are currently every other day and every other weekend.
- Prior OR experience highly preferred
