Job summary

Endocrine News is seeking a Registered Nurse for Evanston Hospital. The role is 36 hours per week, with shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am and weekends rotating. Location is Evanston, IL, with full-time/part-time flexibility depending on staffing needs.

The RN will provide care to diverse patient populations, apply the nursing process, and ensure regulatory compliance. Experience is preferred, and certifications include BLS/CPR with Oncology training to be obtained within nine months of hire.

Qualifications

• BSN degree preferred.
• Current IL nursing license required.
• BLS/CPR certification required; must obtain Oncology cert within nine months.
• 1 year nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to all patient populations in the department.
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Maintain regulatory compliance in individual practice.
• Assume responsibility and authority for outcomes of nursing care.
• Supervise assigned unlicensed nursing personnel delivering patient care.
• Contribute to safety and high quality patient experience.

Hourly Pay Range

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Registered Nurse
• Location: Evanston Hospital

• Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am, rotating weekends

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to all patient populations in the department
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Maintain regulatory compliance in individual practice
• Assume responsibility, accountability and authority for outcomes of nursing care
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering patient care
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

Requirements

• Education: BSN degree preferred
• License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
• Certification: BLS/CPR certification required. Must obtain ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate within nine months of hire.
• Experience: 1 year experience preferred
