Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem is seeking a Registered Nurse, Oncology, at Endeavor Health Cancer Center in Plainfield, IL. This full-time role is 40 hours per week with Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and no weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities include delivering safe, compassionate nursing care on a dedicated unit, applying the nursing process, and guiding unlicensed staff while collaborating with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois RN licensure is required.
• Associate's in Nursing is required; Bachelor's in Nursing strongly preferred.
• CPR certification (AHA) required; OCN/ONS provider card preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year Oncology Outpatient Infusion Center experience; ED/ICU/PACU experience may be preferred if no oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Contribute to safety outcomes and promote high quality patient experience.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will need:

• Licensure: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure, required.
• Education: Associate's in Nursing, required. Bachelor's in Nursing, strongly preferred.
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association, required. OCN/ONS provider card preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Oncology Outpatient Infusion Center experience required; If no oncology experience, ED, ICU, PACU experience highly preferred.
