Job summary

Bronson Hematology and Oncology in Battle Creek is seeking a Registered Nurse (Department Float) for full-time hours. The RN will manage patient care across the length of stay, coordinating with the care team to achieve quality outcomes and timely discharge.

Qualifications include a nursing degree (Associate's required, BSN preferred with an 8-year window), Michigan RN licensure, and BLS. Advanced certifications may be required for some units.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, must obtain within 8 years of hire in some cases.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing for the state of Michigan.
• BSN within 8 years of hire for certain Bronson locations.
• BLS certification required by orientation.
• Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients from admission to discharge.
• Utilize the nursing process: assessment, planning, diagnosis, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate care with other health professionals and delegating tasks where appropriate.
• Document patient response, resource utilization and anticipated needs during each shift.
