Job summary

Bronson Hematology and Oncology - Battle Creek is seeking an Oncology Research Coordinator (RN) to oversee clinical research studies under supervision. The role includes patient eligibility assessments, consents, data collection, and coordination with nursing and medical staff in a high-stress, fast-paced oncology setting.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required with MI RN licensure; Oncology Certification is preferred and must be attained within three years of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Oncology Certified Nurse credential preferred but must be attained within three years of hire.
• Licensed RN in good standing with the State of Michigan required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ongoing implementation and follow through of clinical research studies.
• Assess and enroll patients in studies per protocol.
• Maintain records of all study participants and data for on-study forms and base forms.
• Obtain informed consent in collaboration with the physician.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians; coordinate with ancillary staff for protocol adherence.
• Participate in Quality Improvement and audit activities to ensure accuracy in research records.
• Attend clinical study start-up meetings and maintain knowledge of current research trends.
