Job summary

Low Country Cancer Care seeks an experienced Oncology RN to provide safe, accurate patient care, assess patients, review labs and vitals, ensure medication safety, and administer therapies per JBIs. You will triage, educate patients and families, document in the EMR, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, multi-site oncology setting.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree required.
• Unencumbered RN license in state of employment or multi-state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital.
• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non-oncologic agents to patients as ordered.
• Perform patient assessment, review labs and vital signs, and ensure medication safety and dose verification.
• Provide triage care and educate patients and caregivers about medications and treatment plans.
• Document treatment accurately in the EMR and ensure proper charges.
• Follow patient identification procedures and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Handle telephone triage and prioritize calls/messages from stakeholders.
• Assist with inventory, restocking, and procurement as needed.
• Attend mandatory trainings, participate in meetings, and may work overtime when required.
