Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking an RN for the Oncology Float Pool at Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville. The role requires coordinating care across disciplines, monitoring patient plans, and executing physician orders during night shifts on a PRN basis.

Applicants must hold TN RN licensure, a BLS certification, and a nursing diploma. Oncology experience is required to support discharge planning and patient care coordination.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate

• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care

• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders

• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
