Ascension Health in Nashville is seeking a Night Shift, Full-time Registered Nurse to care for patients in a high-volume observation unit, focusing on short-stay discharges.
You will perform rapid clinical assessments, administer breathing treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely progress toward recovery and comprehensive discharge planning. TN RN licensure and BLS are required; acute care experience is preferred and NIH Stroke Scale certification is a plus.

Care for patients with acute respiratory conditions including asthma, COPD, and pneumonia in a high-volume, short-stay observation unit.
Manage a high turnover patient population focusing on short-term stays and quick safe discharge.
Execute rapid clinical assessments, administer breathing treatments, and monitor stable patients to ensure timely progress toward recovery.
Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to deliver efficient care and comprehensive discharge planning.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
6 months of acute care nursing experience preferred.
Must be willing to obtain the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certification.
