Premise Health in Ridgefield, CT is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health to support client employees at our Health Center. The schedule is Monday–Wednesday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and Thursday 8:00 AM–2:30 PM, offering an earlier finish to start your weekend.

Responsibilities include regulatory compliance, evaluating patient care, return-to-work coordination, and health program support. Competitive benefits package is provided including medical, dental, vision, life and disability

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN in the state of practice.
• Nursing degree or AS required; BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required based on contract scope.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance for clinical operations (OSHA, DOT, CDC).
• Evaluate and prioritize patient care within scope of practice.
• Deliver care to injured workers and coordinate return-to-work with TPA and client.
• Implement and monitor transitional duty programs for injured workers.
• Perform and document medical tests and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry).
• Administer medications and emergency care within scope.

As a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll play an important role in supporting the health and well-being of client employees at our Health Center in Ridgefield, CT. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a consistent weekday schedule while providing meaningful, hands-on care in an employee health setting. The schedule is Monday–Wednesday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, and Thursday, 8:00 AM–2:30 PM giving you an earlier finish to start your weekend!

What You'll Do

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)


• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice


• Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client


• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers


• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)


• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice


• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures


• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records


• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow‑up care


• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention


• Assists with accident investigations, return‑to‑work programs, and workplace safety initiatives


• Performs other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred


• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required


• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites


• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services


• At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic


• Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams
