Premise Health in Burnsville, MN is seeking a Part Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health to support client employees at our Health Center. Schedule: Tue–Thu, 7:30am–4:00pm, with a variety of occupational health services.

Ideal candidates will hold RN licensure in the state, a BSN is preferred, and COHN/COHN-S and BLS certifications may be required. Competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or AS required; BSN preferred
• Currently licensed RN in state of practice
• COHN/COHN-S, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certification preferred
• Hands-on BLS/CPR training required; ACLS may be required
• At least 3 years as RN in occupational health, ER, or ambulatory care
• Experience promoting safe, healthy workplaces and return-to-work exams

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance for clinical operations and manage required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC)
• Evaluate, treat, and prioritize patient care within scope
• Deliver evidence-based care to injured workers and coordinate with TPA and client
• Implement and monitor transitional duty programs for injured workers
• Perform and document medical tests (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision) and treatments
• Administer medications and emergency care within scope
• Maintain equipment, ensure clean/safe environment and infection control
• Maintain accurate patient health records
• Educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and departments on health programs and injury prevention
• Assist with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

As a Part Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Burnsville, MN. This position is scheduled Tuesday through Thursday, from 7:30am to 4:00pm.

What You’ll Do

• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
• Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
• Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
• Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
• Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care clinic
• Experience in strategies to promote and maintain healthy, safe, and productive workplaces, including: partners to identify/mitigate workplace hazards, health screenings/education, fitness for duty, and return to work exams
