Job summary

Essentia Health’s Moose Lake Hospital in Moose Lake, Minnesota invites you to join a rural healthcare team. You will care for patients in the OB unit and may assist med/surg as needed, with rotating 12-hour shifts and a 48-hour per pay period schedule.

Shifts include Day 7:00AM–7:30PM and Night 7:00PM–7:30AM, with weekend rotation. Eligible candidates may receive an incentive of up to $7,500 (ADN) or $10,000 (BSN).

Qualifications

• Current license with the State Board of Nursing
• BCLS, ACLS, TNCC/TCAR and PALS certifications or ability to obtain within specified timelines
• Experience in OB/NICU settings preferred or as required by unit

Responsibilities

• Work 48 hours per pay period
• Rotate 12-hour shifts including days and overnights
• Staff coverage in OB unit and potential med/surg assignments

Education Qualifications:

Responsible for organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

This position will work the following:

• 48 hours per pay period
• Every Third Weekend
• Rotating 12 Hour Shifts
• Day Shift: 7:00AM - 7:30PM
• Overnight Shift: 7:00PM - 7:30AM
• This position will be in the OB unit but will need to pick up patients in med/surg if needed

Qualified candidates may be eligible for a hiring incentive of up to $7,500 (ADN) and up to $10,000 (BSN)

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 year from date of hire
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year from the date of hire only required to obtain once. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 year from date of hire
• Basic Fetal Monitoring course within 6 months Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course through AWHONN within 1 year. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 1 year
