Job summary

Ascension St John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a dedicated RN for the NICU, nights, full-time. You will deliver high-quality, compassionate direct patient care on the front lines and coordinate care across physicians, therapists, and staff.

You will monitor and adjust individualized care plans, document accurately, and ensure safe discharge planning for families as part of a holistic care approach. BLS and Oklahoma RN licensure are required, STABLE and NRP preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• RN credentialed with Oklahoma Board of Nursing prior to hire.
• STABLE certification preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation (AAP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care on the front lines per established standards.
• Lead and monitor individualized patient care plans for best recovery outcomes.
• Coordinate communication among physicians, therapists, specialists and support staff.
• Document physician orders and nursing directives accurately and promptly.
• Plan discharge needs and coordinate resources for smooth transition home.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.
• Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of
  Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• Minimum 2 years level IV NICU experience preferred
