Job summary

Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a full-time RN for the night shift in Inpatient Surgical.

The role focuses on delivering holistic nursing care, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and actively monitoring patient conditions to ensure continuity of care from admission through discharge. Minimum requirements include BLS within 1 month of hire and RN licensure by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire date.
• 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Patient Care: Deliver holistic, high-quality nursing care that aligns with clinical standards and protocols.
• Drive Care Planning: Initiate, implement, and monitor personalized patient care plans.
• Coordinate the Team: Serve as the central communication link for physicians, specialists, and care staff.
• Practice Vigilant Monitoring: Observe, record, and communicate changes in patient conditions promptly.
• Ensure Continuity: Coordinate discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
