Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a patient-focused Registered Nurse to join the Neurosciences and Specialty Care Surgery Unit on the South 10, a 36-bed unit with private rooms and comprehensive stroke care.

As a nursing professional you will be supported by our Shared Governance model and orientation programs, with 12-hour night shifts (0.75) and every 3rd weekend rotation, delivering high-quality care to diverse adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing with 1 year RN experience.
• Minnesota RN license in good standing.
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers.
• Exceptional interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Neurosciences and Specialty Care Surgery Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community. Our South 10 unit is a 36-bed unit with all private rooms. It is a comprehensive stroke certified by the Joint Commission, providing the highest level of stroke care. The unit also cares for acutely ill adult & geriatric patients with general and progressive care neurological problems & spinal cord disorders resulting in surgery, and patients with post op spinal drains. Care is also provided for patients with surgical specialty needs including urology and ENT procedures. We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. Our Professional Nursing Practice Model offers patient and family-centered care that maintains an unwavering focus on what matters most: caring and healing at the patient’s bedside. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence‑based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. All new hire registered nurses at Regions Hospital will be automatically enrolled. Our award‑winning programs give our patients and their families a place of comfort and healing. Work Schedule

0.75 Nights. All 12 hour shifts. Every 3rd weekend rotation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
• Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
• One year of acute care RN experience is preferred
