MetroHealth's Neuroscience Center at the Main Campus (Glick) in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an experienced RN to join 6 West stroke care. You will perform detailed neurological assessments, monitor ICP, and titrate medications on a 24-bed unit.

The role requires rotating 7a-7p/7p-7a shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, and close collaboration with LPNs, PCNAs, providers, and therapists to deliver high-quality neuro-critical care.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Ohio RN licensure.
• BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Primary Patient Population:

• Adult


• Ischemic/Hemorrhagic Strokes


• Status Epilepticus


• Encephalitis


• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)


• Intracranial Hemorrhage


• Stroke


• Minor Neurological Disorders

Primary skills utilized/learned:

• Detailed Neurological assessments


• ICP Monitoring


• Medication titration


• Managing surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, body temperature, & CRRT


• Neurological patient care; NIHSS Certification for Stroke care


• Telemetry monitoring


• Time management, critical thinking, delegating


• Seizure disorder monitoring/ care

Personnel RN will work with:

• LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, PT, OT, Dietary

Number of beds on unit:

• 24 beds

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).


• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio


• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

• BSN


• Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
