Job summary

UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando is seeking a Post-Partum RN to provide direct patient care to post-partum patients within a family-centered approach. You will support multidisciplinary obstetrical care for both low and high-risk cases and newborns, monitor progress, and prepare patients for discharge.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, 1+ year acute care experience, and competencies in stroke scale, ACLS, BCLS, and neonatal resuscitation.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required or multistate license with Florida in 60 days after relocation.
• 1+ year RN experience in acute care preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of start.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start; ACLS provider within 6 months.
• Neonate Resuscitation within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to post-partum patients.
• Deliver multidisciplinary obstetrical care to low and high-risk postpartum patients and newborns.
• Monitor patient progress and prepare for discharge.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care.

Job Summary And Qualifications

We are seeking a Post-Partum RN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide direct patient care to post-partum patients in a family centered approach. You will provide multidisciplinary obstetrical care to low and high risk postpartum patients and normal newborns. The RN monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
• Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient and the situation
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Educate patients regarding their medications, procedure and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay.

Job Requirements

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• 1+ years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start
• American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
