Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Brighton area to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care on Medical-Surgical units. You will assess, plan, intervene and educate patients, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective treatment.

You will manage patient records, communicate with families, and participate in quality improvement initiatives, while meeting licensure requirements and hospital standards for professional practice.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN; BSN within 4 years is preferred.
• Licensed to practice as RN in Massachusetts; valid MA license.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred within 90 days of hire.
• PCC certification required within 1 year of hire.
• 1+ year RN experience preferred; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care on Medical-Surgical units, including assessment, planning and education.
• Communicate with care team, patients and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities with inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret data.
• Follow SEMC nursing policies and participate in quality improvement.
