Job summary

Boston Medical Center Health Systems in Boston area is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to deliver patient-centered care on the Medical-Surgical units. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care and collaborate with the health care team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Nursing Diploma/ASN/BSN and an active Massachusetts license, with BLS and ACLS certifications. PCC certification within 12 months of hire, and 1+ year RN experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN, Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PCC certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical units, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and their families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by SEMC's nursing organization.
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
