- Plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process and nursing practice standards
- Utilize the Nursing Process to manage patient care from admission through discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments according to standard procedure
- Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care, including discharge planning
- Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care within the assigned clinical setting
- Delegate appropriately according to job descriptions and competency levels
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration
- BLS certification required for every RN unless current ACLS certification is held, plus any unit-specific certifications and competencies
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing highly preferred
