Responsibilities

• Perform telephone triage and patient assessment.
• Render patient care within scope of training, including immunizations, allergy injections, blood draws, and vital signs.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms and restock supplies.
• Process prescription refills through the electronic medical record.
• Assess patients and families, record and interpret health data, and make nursing-care judgments.
• Deliver age-appropriate care, treatments, medications, blood, and blood products.
• Monitor patients for acute changes and intervene appropriately.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and adapt plans based on patient/family response.
• Educate patients and families about illness, treatment, and prevention.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure quality and continuity of care.
• Serve as patient advocate and uphold quality nursing-care standards.
