Job summary

Regions Hospital in Minnesota is seeking a Charge RN for the Med/Surg Unit (35 beds) with telemetry capabilities. The unit provides inpatient medical-surgical care across general surgery, neurosurgery, urology, cardiac telemetry, and post-procedural care.

The nursing team works within a Professional Nursing Practice Model and a Shared Governance framework focused on evidence-based care and patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience.
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers.
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Charge RN to join our Med/Surg Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.

This unit is a 35-bed med-surg/telemetry unit with double and single occupancy. We focus on inpatient medical-surgical patients, including general surgery, acute care surgery, neurosurgery, urology, cardiac telemetry and post procedural care.

We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Work Schedule

0.70 Day/Eves; 8 hour evenings during the week; 8 hour days every other weekend.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
• Two (2) years’ experience in area of specialty preferred at 0.8 FTE, or above (minimum of 3328 hours).
