This Level I Trauma Center emphasizes patient- and family-centered care and operates under a Shared Governance model to support evidence-based practice at the bedside.

Qualifications

Job description

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.

This unit is a newly opened 12 private bed med-surg unit focused on inpatient medical surgical and cardiac telemetry patients. Therefore, our unit provides a widespread knowledge and experience base for our nurses.

As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Work Schedule:

0.70 Nights. Mix of 8 and 12 hour shifts; every 3rd weekend rotation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience
• Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
• One year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferred
• ICU RN experience is strongly preferred
