Westfields Hospital & Clinic in New Richmond, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg department to support patients in a critical access hospital setting. You'll collaborate with physicians and the care team, assess admissions, transfers, discharges, and document all care accurately.

The role requires Wisconsin RN licensure, BLS and ACLS within 6 months, and EPIC experience is preferred. Prior hospital experience, especially in high obs or ICU, is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Wisconsin RN licensure is required.
• BLS certification required and ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred EPIC experience; minimum 2 years hospital experience in high obs, progressive care, or ICU.

Job Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Westfields Hospital & Clinic's Med/Surg department, in collaboration with the attending physician and the health care team, supports and cares for patients in all areas of the critical access hospital. Duties include:

• Assesses, admits, transfers or discharges patients and completes all necessary documentation.
• Performs basic patient care responsibilities as ordered by the physician and per standards of nursing care, considering age-appropriate needs.
• Evaluates the patient's condition and response to treatments, notifying the physician, charge nurse and other care givers as appropriate.

Work Schedule

• 32 hours weekly - 0.8 FTE
• Evening and Night shifts
• Every third weekend rotation

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin required.
• BLS Certification required and ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in EPIC computer system
• Minimum of 2 years hospital experience, preferably high obs, progressive care, or ICU experience.
