Job summary

Westfields Hospital & Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Med/Surg department to support and care for patients across the critical access hospital. You will collaborate with the attending physician and health care team to provide timely documentation and patient care.

The role requires WI RN licensure, BLS certification, and ACLS within 6 months. EPIC experience preferred; work schedule includes 24 hours weekly (0.6 FTE) with evenings/night shifts and every third weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Wisconsin required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BLS Certification required and ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, admit, transfer or discharge patients and complete all necessary documentation.
• Perform basic patient care responsibilities as ordered by the physician and per standards of nursing care.
• Evaluate patient condition and response to treatments, notifying physician, charge nurse and care team as appropriate.

Job description

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Westfields Hospital & Clinic's Med/Surg department, in collaboration with the attending physician and the health care team, supports and cares for patients in all areas of the critical access hospital. Duties include:

• Assesses, admits, transfers or discharges patients and completes all necessary documentation.
• Performs basic patient care responsibilities as ordered by the physician and per standards of nursing care, considering age-appropriate needs.
• Evaluates the patient’s condition and response to treatments, notifying the physician, charge nurse and other care givers as appropriate.

Work Schedule:

• 24 hours weekly - 0.6 FTE
• Evening and Night shifts
• Every third weekend rotation

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin required.
• BLS Certification required and ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in EPIC computer system
• Minimum of 2 years hospital experience, preferably high obs, progressive care, or ICU experience.
