Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Level II Registered Nurse to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care within an assigned unit. The RN collaborates with the health team to implement the nursing process and improve patient outcomes, while supporting continuous quality improvement and patient safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating care, communicating with the care team, assisting with staff orientation, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN experience.
• Valid RN License from Virginia or reciprocal compact state.
• BSN is preferred for some tracks; BSN is required for the BSN pay track.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Coordinate patient/family involvement and discharge planning.
• Communicate the plan of care to the health team and ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Assist with orientation of new staff and ensure unit policies are followed.
• Contribute to department and hospital committees for policy development.
