Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Coordinate patient/family involvement and discharge planning.
• Communicate the plan of care to the health team.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and unit committees.
• Assist leadership to define standards of excellence for patient care.
• Participate in orientation of new staff and hospital policies.
