Job summary

HCA Florida UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN to provide compassionate obstetric care within a patient-centered model. You will perform clinical assessments, support moms and families, and participate in routine deliveries and Cesarean sections to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation.
• 1+ years RN experience in acute care preferred.
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree; BSN preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• ACLS Provider card required within 6 months of employment start.
• Neonatal Resuscitation required within 30 days of employment start.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze the assessment data to determine diagnosis or issues.
• Evaluate obstetrical patient for any situation that may compromise mother or fetus.
• Participate in routine delivery as well as planned or emergent Cesarean Sections.
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Educate patients regarding medications, procedures, and treatments, providing support to patients and families during stay.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a dynamic Labor & Delivery RN to join our team. We need a compassionate and reliable RN to provide care and treatment to obstetric patients in our patient centered care model. In this role you will be required to make clinical assessments of situations and manage treatment autonomously. You would be part of a phenomenal team that works hard to support each other while providing excellent care to our patients in a collaborative manner.

What you will do in this role:

• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment
• Educate patients regarding their medications, procedure and treatments, providing patients and their families with support throughout their stay

What qualifications you will need:

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• 1+ years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree,BSN is preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start
• American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
