Ascension is seeking an experienced RN for Labor and Delivery at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, TX. This full-time, night-shift role supports patient care plans and coordinates a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth, safe deliveries and postpartum care.

The position requires TX RN licensure, BLS, and a Diploma in Nursing. Preferred candidates have LDRP experience and NRP/STABLE credentials.

Qualificações

• Current RN licensure from Texas Board of Nursing.
• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and STABLE credentials.
• Experience in Labor and Delivery is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Implements and monitors patient care plans in Labor and Delivery.
• Acts as primary coordinator of multidisciplinary care for moms and newborns.
• Orders are interpreted and followed in collaboration with physicians and nurses.
• Coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
  • Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program credentialed from the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
