Job summary

UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando, FL is seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide compassionate obstetric care in a patient-centered model. You will perform clinical assessments, support delivery and cesarean procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires Florida RN license (multistate acceptable), 1+ year acute care RN experience, and required certifications (BCLS, ACLS, NIH stroke scale, neonatal resuscitation) within set timeframes.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license (or approved multistate license) required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation.
• 1+ years of RN experience in an acute care environment preferred.
• Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree; BSN is preferred.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS Provider card required within 6 months of start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis or issues.
• Evaluate obstetrical patient for any situation that may compromise mother or fetus.
• Participate in routine delivery as well as cesarean sections (planned or emergent).
• Act as an advocate for patient safety.
• Ensure effective care and use of time, supplies, and equipment.
• Educate patients regarding medications, procedures and treatments, and provide family support.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a dynamic Labor & Delivery RN to join our team. We need a compassionate and reliable RN to provide care and treatment to obstetric patients in our patient centered care model. In this role you will be required to make clinical assessments of situations and manage treatment autonomously. You would be part of a phenomenal team that works hard to support each other while providing excellent care to our patients in a collaborative manner.
