Job summary

Ascension's Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, TX seeks a part-time RN to support the Cath Lab, assisting pediatric cardiologists and radiologists during high-risk endovascular procedures in a tertiary pediatric acute care setting.

You will monitor pediatric patients, manage conscious sedation, vascular access, and hemodynamics; prepare specialized endovascular devices; and deliver comprehensive pre- and post-procedure care with family education to promote safe outcomes and team

Qualifications

• RN license by Texas Board of Nursing required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ALS preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assists pediatric cardiologists and radiologists during high-risk endovascular and interventional procedures in a specialized acute care setting.
• Manages pediatric conscious sedation, continuous airway monitoring, and real-time hemodynamic status during complex interventional cases.
• Prepares pediatric-specific emergency equipment, sterile fields, and specialized endovascular devices tailored to infants, children, and teens.
• Delivers pre- and post-procedure care, managing vascular access sites, recovery, and parent/guardian education to ensure safe patient outcomes.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
