Mercy is seeking an experienced RN for full-time care in our 18-bed unit, a step-down cardiovascular and neurosurgical population in Fort Smith, AR. You will provide patient care using the nursing process, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinate with other departments to ensure evidence-based practice.
Requirements include graduating from an accredited nursing program, active RN license in the state, ACLS and BLS (or within 90 days), and at least 1 year of bedside experience.
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards.

Patient Population: stepdown possible cardiovascular patient/ neurosurgical patients, cardiac drips set rates, some stable insulin drips, post procedural patients, cardioversions, bipap, airvo, chest tubes, post pacemaker insertions, post CABg patients, BLS/ ACLS, NIHSS, common diagnosis of CHF, COPD, CKD
