Job summary

Mercy Hospital Fort Smith is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process. You will be responsible for maintaining patient rights and confidentiality while coordinating care with other departments in a fast-paced unit.

The role requires active RN licensure in the hiring state (or compact) and current ACLS/BLS certifications, with ACLS/BLS obtainable within 90 days of hire. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure required.

Nurse to Patient Ratio: 4:1

Patient Population: stepdown possible cardiovascular patient/ neurosurgical patients, cardiac drips set rates, some stable insulin drips, post procedural patients, cardioversions, bipap, airvo, chest tubes, post pacemaker insertions, post CABg patients, BLS/ ACLS, NIHSS, common diagnosis of CHF, COPD, CKD

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).


• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.


• Certifications: Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
