Job summary

Mercy in Fort Smith, AR is seeking an RN to provide patient care using the nursing process, coordinating across departments and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. The role requires at least 1 year of experience and offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time RNs with no contract.

The unit features 18 beds with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. Candidates must meet RN licensure requirements and have ACLS/BLS; AHAs Healthcare Provider card or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Ensure current RN license in hiring state/compact licensure and meet state board requirements.
• Certifications: Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete within probation; ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.

• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.

Bed Numbers: 18

Nurse to Patient Ratio: 4:1

Patient Population: stepdown possible cardiovascular patient/ neurosurgical patients, cardiac drips set rates, some stable insulin drips, post procedural patients, cardioversions, bipap, airvo, chest tubes, post pacemaker insertions, post CABg patients, BLS/ ACLS, NIHSS, common diagnosis of CHF, COPD, CKD

Qualifications:

• Education : Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

• Licensure : Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Certifications: Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
