Job summary

Mercy Hospital – W Memorial Rd in Oklahoma City is seeking experienced nurses for the ICU Step Down unit. This 32-bed unit serves patients transitioning from ICU with higher acuity needs, including neurological, medical, and surgical cases. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available for experienced nurses, with nights, full-time at 36 hours per week.

Qualifications include Nursing Degree, RN license (state or compact), and BLS certification. BSN preferred but ADN acceptable.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on ICU Step Down unit.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes.
• Collaborate with nursing and multi-disciplinary teams.

Overview

This high-energy 32-bed unit is in the critical care service line, which serves patients transitioning out of Intensive Care and/or patients requiring a higher level of care. Our higher acuity population is primarily comprised of neurological, medical, and surgical patients. With our neurological specialty, we are a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• Preferred Education: Prefer BSN but ADN is acceptable
• License: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
