Job summary

Ascension is seeking an experienced RN for the ICU Float Pool at Saint Thomas Midtown, Nashville, TN. This full-time role covers night shifts and supports multiple ICU units across the Saint Thomas facilities listed.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied staff to ensure continuous, high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate holds a nursing diploma, is licensed in Tennessee, and has ICU experience.

• ICU experience and RN licensure required.
• Diploma in Nursing from an approved program.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
