Job summary

Ascension Via Christi St. Peter in Derby, KS is seeking a registered nurse for ICU care. The role supports day and night shifts across full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• - Take ownership of implementing and evolving personalized care plans, ensuring every clinical intervention aligns with the patient's unique needs.
• - Meticulously monitor and communicate changes in patient condition, acting as the vital link between the bedside and the broader medical team, ensuring no detail is overlooked.
• - Serve as the primary coordinator across all medical disciplines, harmonizing efforts between specialists, therapists, and physicians to deliver seamless, holistic care.
• - Interpret and carry out physician and nursing orders with a high degree of clinical expertise, maintaining the highest standards of safety and excellence.
• - Participate in the discharge planning process, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patients and their families are prepared and supported for their journey home.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• - Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• - Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Preferred Credential(s)

• - Preferred Credential(s): Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• - Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
