Haven Hospice in Lake City, FL is seeking a compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse to join our team. You will provide expert, patient-centered care at a critical time in people’s lives, manage pain and symptoms, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve quality end-of-life care.

This PRN position offers flexible scheduling, on-site work in Lake City, and opportunities for growth within a supportive, growing organization.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in state of operation.
• One year nursing experience required, 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of hospice philosophy of care.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
• Must be a licensed driver with insured automobile.

Responsibilities

• Assess/ monitor physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients.
• Create hospice care plans that align with the patients' wishes and goals.
• Direct nursing care: administering medications, treatments, and interventions.
• Provide pain and symptom management.
• Educate and support the patient's family and caregivers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by local branch.

Office Location: Lake City Coverage area:5 Counties covered, approx 2800 square miles

Schedule: PRN Monday - Friday 8a-5p.
