Job summary

Haven Hospice in Chiefland, FL is seeking a compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse to join our patient-centered team. You will provide 1:1 care, develop care plans, administer medications, educate families, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Schedule is PRN, days & nights, with potential weekends and holidays.

As a Hospice RN, you will assess patients' needs, coordinate care, and ensure documentation is accurate while supporting families throughout the hospice journey.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current RN licensure in state of operation.
• One year nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care.
• Must have CPR certification where required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor and respond to patients' physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
• Create hospice care plans aligned with patients' wishes and goals.
• Direct nursing care: administer medications, treatments, and interventions.
• Provide pain and symptom management.
• Educate and support patients' families and caregivers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and maintain documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by local branch.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification in states where required.
