Job summary

Haven Hospice in Chiefland, FL is seeking a dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care during critical times. The role involves night shifts (7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will have an RN license, nursing experience (prefer Hospice), and a strong commitment to compassionate care and precise documentation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in the operating state.
• One year nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of hospice philosophy of care required.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable automobile.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients.
• Create hospice care plans aligned with patient wishes and goals.
• Direct nursing care: administer medications, treatments, and interventions.
• Provide pain and symptom management.
• Educate and support patient families and caregivers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and maintain timely documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by local branch.

As a Hospice Registered Nurse You will:
