Villa At Borgess Place is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Michigan. The RN will be responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating plans of care for residents, administering medications, and coordinating with physicians and CNAs to ensure high-quality care.

The role requires nursing licensure in the state, CPR certification, and prior long-term care experience is preferred. Comprehensive benefits are provided for full-time staff, including competitive pay and growth

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Registered Nurse.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Long-Term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Provides and receives nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
• Ensures assigned work area is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Directs and supervises the day-to-day certified nursing assistant services for the assigned unit to ensure care is rendered per standards.
• Takes and records residents' blood pressure and vital signs, administers catheter care, IV therapy, and respiratory care as ordered.
• Receives and transcribes physician orders to charts/MAR/treatment plans.
• Prepares and administers medications and performs treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Charts nurses notes reflecting care provided and resident response.
• Counts controlled drugs with a co-nurse and reports discrepancies.
• Ensures environment is free from hazards and addresses safety risks.
• Makes written and oral reports/recommendations about shift activities.
• Admits/transfers/discharges residents to meet individual needs and safety.
• All other duties as assigned.
