Job summary

Villa at Green Lake Estates is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team in Michigan. The RN assumes responsibility for a group of residents per shift, providing care through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.

Qualifications

• Current CPR Certification required.
• Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University.
• Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Registered Nurse.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Long-Term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards.
• Provides and receives nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
• Ensures resident care areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Directs and supervises day-to-day certified nursing assistant services for the unit.
• Takes and records blood pressure and vital signs; administers IV therapy and respiratory care as ordered.
• Receives and transcribes physician orders to charts, MAR, and care plans.
• Prepares and administers medications and performs treatments as ordered.
• Charts nurses notes reflecting care provided and resident response.
• Counts all controlled drugs with the other nurse at shift change; reports discrepancies.
• Maintains a safe environment; addresses safety risks promptly.
• Makes written and oral reports/recommendations as required.
• Admits, transfers and/or discharges residents to meet needs while ensuring safety.
• All other duties as assigned.
