Ascension is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the General Medicine team at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay in Panama City, FL. In this day shift role, you’ll implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, communicate patient status, and coordinate across disciplines to ensure seamless care delivery.

You’ll hold a Florida RN license with BLS within 30 days and a Compact State license if applicable.

• Active Florida RN license prior to hire.
• Compact State license recognition required.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences:

• Acute care experience.
