Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Bay Hospital in Panama City, Florida, is seeking an experienced nursing leader to join the Ascension Premier Staffing - Interim Leadership team. This day-shift role spans 40 hours per week and focuses on clinical leadership, budget stewardship and staff development.

You will develop departmental goals, oversee patient care activities, manage budgets, and direct staffing initiatives to ensure high-quality care and regulatory compliance within a busy health system.

Qualifications

• Develops departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system.
• Directs clinical activities, including patient assessment, care plan development, service level determination, patient visits, and complaint management.
• Prepares and monitors budget(s) and ensures that assigned nursing area operates within allocated funds. Coordinates and directs internal and externally-driven audits.
• Plans, organizes and directs all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating and continuing education initiatives.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• Certified BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certified Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Must have compact RN license or state RN license relevant to travel assignment location prior to start of assignment.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.

Work Experience

• 5 years of experience required. 10 years of experience preferred. 2 years of leadership or management experience required. 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

• 3-5 years of ED and Critical Care leadership experience
• Florida or Compact RN License
