Job summary

Ascension Health in Pensacola, FL is seeking an ICU Float RN for a rotating, full‑time schedule. You will coordinate patient care across disciplines, monitor and adjust care plans, and ensure orders are carried out accurately.

The role requires an RN license in Florida, BLS certification, and a nursing diploma or equivalent. Prior ICU/PCU experience is preferred, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• Registered Nurse licensed in Florida prior to hire date.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.

• Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

• Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

• At least 1 year of PCU or ICU experience in a hospital setting.
