Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Float Pool to support patient care across units as assigned by the Float Pool agreement. You will work under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director and contribute to therapeutic and administrative nursing services for our patients.

Qualified candidates hold an ADN or BSN, possess active RN licensure in Kansas (or compact license), and have BLS (and ACLS within 2 months).

Qualifications

  • Graduate from accredited school of nursing with either an AND or BSN degree.
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
  • BLS required upon hire. ACLS required within 2 months of hire.
  • Minimum 2 years acute care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director of the department to which the RN is assigned for his or her shift.
  • Provide therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
  • Provide care for acutely ill patients in units as determined by the Float Pool agreement.

Job Summary and Qualifications
  • The role of the Non-Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director of the department to which the RN is assigned for his or her shift.
  • The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
  • The Registered Nurse in the Non-Critical Care Float Pool position provides care for acutely ill patient in units as determined by the Float Pool agreement.
  • SCHEDULE: Part-time DAYS (2 12-hr shifts plus rotating weekends).
What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate from accredited school of nursing with either an AND or BSN degree.
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
  • BLS required upon hire. ACLS required within 2 months of hire.
  • Minimum 2 years acute care experience.
