Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate and provide patient care under the supervision of the Director/Charge Nurse. You will deliver nursing care per hospital policies, standards, and AACVPR guidelines, in a fast-paced telemetry/ICU setting with a multidisciplinary team.

Required are RN licensure and a BSN preferred, with BCLS at hire and ACLS within 6 months. Minimum 2 years telemetry/ICU experience, preferably in cardiopulmonary rehab.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from nursing school; RN licensure required.
  • BCLS certification required upon hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience on telemetry, step-down, or ICU; cardiopulmonary rehab preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and provide patient care under supervision of Director/Charge Nurse.
  • Deliver nursing care per hospital policies and state standards.
  • Work in a fast-paced telemetry/ICU environment with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Summary and Qualifications
  • Under direct supervision of the Director/Charge Nurse, coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state nursing practice acts, ANA Standards of Practice and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation policies and procedures under the guidelines of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).
  • Schedule: Full-time/Days; 32 hours weekly (4 8-HR Shifts with rotating days off); limited Saturday coverage (up to 2 hours).
  • Environment: Fast-paced, high-volume patient stream while collaborating with a multidisciplinary cardiac team and rapidly charting precise clinical data.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate from school of nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required
  • BCLS certification required upon hire. ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
  • A minimum of 2 years clinical experience on a telemetry, step down or intensive care unit. Preferably previous experience in a Cardiopulmonary Rehab Unit.

Overland Park Regional Medical Center () is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center.
