Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Part-time Non-Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse to support multiple units during night shifts. The RN will provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/Director and participate in hospital councils and initiatives.

Qualified candidates will have an ADN or BSN, current RN license in state(s) of practice, BLS on hire and ACLS within 2 months, plus at least 2 years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from accredited school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree.
  • Currently licensed as a registered nurse in state(s) of practice and/or holds an active compact license.
  • BLS required upon hire; ACLS required within 2 months of hire.
  • Minimum 2 years acute care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director to which the RN is assigned.
  • Provide therapeutic and administrative services for patient care and support the hospital mission.
  • Care for acutely ill patients in units as determined by the Float Pool agreement.

Job Summary and Qualifications
  • The role of the Non-Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director of the department to which the RN is assigned for his or her shift.
  • The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
  • The Registered Nurse in the Non-Critical Care Float Pool position provides care for acutely ill patient in units as determined by the Float Pool agreement.
  • SCHEDULE: Part-time NIGHTS (2 12-hr shifts plus rotating weekends).
What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate from accredited school of nursing with either an AND or BSN degree.
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
  • BLS required upon hire. ACLS required within 2 months of hire.
  • Minimum 2 years acute care experience.
