Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) seeks a Registered Nurse Float to administer chemotherapy and supportive care in a multi-site setting across Poughkeepsie, Fishkill and Yorktown, NY. You will monitor patients, document vitals, and collaborate with a skilled care team to deliver compassionate oncology care.

You will educate patients and families, participate in trials, and ensure safety with cytotoxic agents while maintaining high-quality standards and adherence to protocols.

Qualifications

• RN license valid in New York State.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapeutic and biologic agents as prescribed by a physician.
• Recognize and treat cancer-related and treatment-related issues.
• Monitor and chart vital signs; document in MAR.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to share expertise.
• Participate in cancer research trials, administering medications per protocol.
• Provide supportive resources to patients and caregivers to promote health and wellness.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment expectations and follow-up care.
• Monitor patient status during administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive medications.
• Chart patient response to treatment and medications.
