Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Heritage Valley is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit, following the nursing process and collaborating with the care team.

Under the direction of nursing leadership, the RN will coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient/ family education for post-hospital needs. ACLS and BLS are required within specified timelines, with ACLS necessary for Charge Nurses.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an RN in the state where the hospital resides or compact licensure.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment; ACLS must be AHA approved.
• ACLS certification required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct and supervise patient care.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including discharge planning and teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Educate patients and families for post-hospital care and accessing community resources.
• Supportive leadership coverage and possible Charge Nurse duties as assigned.
