Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Heritage Valley in Beaver County, PA seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit.

The role requires an active RN license, current BLS, and ACLS certification within 90 days; ACLS is required for Charge Nurses. You will participate in discharge planning and family teaching, coordinating with the care team to ensure smooth post-hospital transitions.

Qualifications

• Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the RN utilizes the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• The RN plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
• May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).
